(numbers of share traded: 13.82 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 7.86 crore), DLF (numbers of share traded: 7.65 crore), Tata Motors (numbers of share traded: 5.27 crore), GMR Infra (numbers of share traded: 4.47 crore), Tata Power (numbers of share traded: 4.29 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 3.71 crore), Zomato Ltd. (numbers of share traded: 3.18 crore) and South Indian Bnk (numbers of share traded: 3.15 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 276.3 points up at 17822.95, while BSE Sensex ended up 958.03 points at 59885.36.
On the other hand, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 1.15 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 1.01 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.43 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 0.41 per cent) and ITC Ltd. (down 0.41 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
