NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 94.88 crore), Zee Ent. (numbers of share traded: 7.30 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 7.23 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 7.14 crore), Bharti Airtel (numbers of share traded: 7.08 crore), Indus Towers (numbers of share traded: 5.81 crore), GMR Infra (numbers of share traded: 5.38 crore), BHEL (numbers of share traded: 5.34 crore), DLF (numbers of share traded: 4.38 crore) and Rashtriya Chemicals (numbers of share traded: 4.25 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 30.25 points up at 17853.2, while BSE Sensex ended up 163.11 points at 60048.47.
On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd. (down 3.53 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 2.67 per cent), State Bank of India (down 2.01 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 1.99 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd. (down 1.74 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
