Energy Development Company(up 4.81%), CESC(up 3.00%), NTL(up 2.44%), NHPC(up 2.39%), Jyoti Structures(up 2.31%), GE Power India Limited(up 2.29%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 2.27%), JSW Energy(up 1.93%), ABBPP&SLTD(up 1.71%) and Indowind Energy(up 1.56%) were among the top gainers.
PTC India(down 1.70%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.38%), DPSC(down 0.97%), Torrent Power(down 0.80%), Adani Power(down 0.66%), Karma Energy(down 0.56%), Inox wind(down 0.35%), ADANIGREEN(down 0.11%) and Indo Tech Transformers(down 0.10%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 9.5 points down at 17701.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 7.45 points at 59420.72 at around 10:14AM.
Tata Motors(up 1.97%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.6%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.08%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.95%), State Bank of India(up 0.65%), IndusInd Bank(up 0.6%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.59%), HDFC(up 0.52%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.51%) and Hindustan Unilever(up 0.46%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.55%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.36%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 1.26%), Eicher Motors(down 1.23%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.83%), Shree Cement(down 0.8%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.77%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.75%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.73%) and Reliance Industries(down 0.73%) were trading in the red.
