The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 533.74 points up at 59299.32, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 159.2 points up at 17691.25.
In the Nifty50 index, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as PlatinumOne Business Services Ltd., Bella Casa Fashion, Alkali Metals, Patel Eng and RTS Power hit their fresh 52-week high, while Milgrey Finance, SBL Infratech Ltd., Shanti Educational, Purple Entertainment and Jiya Eco Products Lt touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
