KIOCL(up 10.18%), Oriental Trimex(up 7.22%), NMDC Ltd(up 5.12%), Lexus Granito(up 4.92%), Coal India(up 4.46%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 3.93%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 2.82%), Pokarna(up 2.41%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 2.20%) and Aro Granite Industries(up 1.41%) stood among the top gainers.
Ashapura Minechem(down 2.13%) and 20 Microns(down 1.46%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 50.75 points up at 17945.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 76.72 points at 60135.78.
Tata Motors(up 8.57%), Coal India(up 4.46%), Maruti Suzuki(up 3.64%), Grasim Industries(up 3.31%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.06%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.92%), ITC(up 2.74%), NTPC(up 2.62%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.52%) and State Bank of India(up 2.46%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Consultancy(down 6.35%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.76%), Infosys(down 1.91%), HCL Technologies(down 1.46%), Wipro(down 1.26%), Britannia Industries(down 1.1%), Reliance Industries(down 0.7%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.67%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.66%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 0.58%) closed in the red.
