Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 5.01%), Bohra Industries(down 3.75%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.50%), Aries Agro(down 1.02%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.92%), Coromandel International(down 0.48%) and Madras Fertlizers(down 0.48%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 46.0 points up at 17991.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 148.53 points at 60284.31.
Titan Company Ltd(up 5.51%), Bajaj Auto(up 3.29%), State Bank of India(up 2.93%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.87%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.29%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.06%), Eicher Motors(up 2.03%), Nestle India(up 1.73%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.61%) and ITC(up 1.37%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies(down 4.03%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.94%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.84%), Coal India(down 1.8%), Shree Cement(down 1.13%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.09%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.89%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.88%), Grasim Industries(down 0.85%) and ICICI Bank(down 0.66%) closed in the red.
