Suzlon Energy(down 3.40%), NHPC(down 2.66%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 1.33%), ADANIGREEN(down 1.23%), Reliance Power(down 0.88%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 0.67%), Energy Development Company(down 0.44%), Torrent Power(down 0.32%), SJVN(down 0.18%) and Voltamp Transformers(down 0.02%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 169.8 points up at 18161.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 452.74 points at 60737.05.
Tata Motors(up 20.45%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 5.08%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 3.92%), ITC(up 3.27%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.13%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.0%), Grasim Industries(up 2.41%), Wipro(up 2.05%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.02%) and Larsen & Toubro(up 1.97%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki(down 2.75%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.17%), Coal India(down 1.68%), SBI Life(down 1.56%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.1%), Nestle India(down 0.49%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.36%), Axis Bank(down 0.32%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.28%) and State Bank of India(down 0.27%) closed in the red.
