NEW DELHI: Tata Power(Rs. 535.85 crore), IRCTC(Rs. 355.42 crore), Avenue Supermart(Rs. 175.49 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 173.49 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 160.60 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 121.86 crore), PNB(Rs. 113.66 crore), NALCO(Rs. 100.75 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 98.06 crore) and HDFC Life(Rs. 97.31 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 138.5 points up at 18477.05, while BSE Sensex rose 459.64 points to 61765.59.
In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 5.17 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 4.45 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.41 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 3.31 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 2.38 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.20 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.71 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
