Cipla(up 0.61 per cent), Lupin(up 0.38 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories(up 0.33 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Pfizer(down 1.79 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 1.56 per cent), Laurus(down 1.42 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(down 1.24 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare(down 1.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.59 per cent at 14512.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 28.95 points at 18506.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 166.78 points at 61932.37.
