The IT company reported a 20.8 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 551.7 crore for the quarter ended September. This is against a net profit of Rs 456.8 crore in the same period a year ago.
Shares of Larsen & Toubro Infotech soared as much as 15 per cent to Rs 6,777.20 on Tuesday. However, the scrip gave up some gains to trade at Rs 6,626.20 at 10.15 am.
BSE Sensex was trading 50.47 points, or 0.08 per cent, lower at 61,715.12 at the same time. The scrip settled at Rs 5,907 on Monday.
The company’s revenue grew 25.6 per cent to Rs 3,767 crore in the latest quarter. The same stood at Rs 2,998.4 crore in the year-ago period.
On a sequential basis, the net profit was up 11.1 per cent while the topline rose 8.8 per cent.
Shares of L&T Infotech have soared as much as 120 per cent in the last one month, whereas the scrip has delivered over 80 per cent return in 2021 so far.
