HCL Technologies(up 2.04 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 1.9 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech(up 1.69 per cent), Mindtree(up 1.31 per cent) and Infosys(up 0.51 per cent) were among the top gainers.
L&T Technology(down 2.19 per cent), MPhasis(down 1.74 per cent), Tata Consultancy(down 0.53 per cent) and Wipro(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.37 per cent at 37245.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 17.6 points at 18401.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 1.86 points at 61714.19.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
