NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red on Thursday amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Ugro Capital(13.88%), Varroc Engg.(12.4%) and AMJ Land Holdings (10.27%).
The 30-share Sensex traded 432.0 points down at 60827.96, while the 50-share Nifty index fell 119.05 points to 18147.55.
In the Nifty 50 index, 12 stocks traded in the green, while 38 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Arihant Found, Vishwaraj Sugar, IRB Infra Dev., Shoppers Stop and Ugro Capital hit their fresh 52-week high, while Texel Ind(PP), AA Plus Tradelink Ltd., Ace Men Engg Works, Nutech Global and JLAInfraville&Shop touched their new 52-week low in trade.
