NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 27.28 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 21.41 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 14.82 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 11.30 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 10.33 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 9.33 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 7.15 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 6.19 crore), Canara Bank (numbers of share traded: 6.02 crore) and Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 5.80 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 143.0 points up at 18268.4, while BSE Sensex ended up 383.21 points at 61350.26.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
