NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Transport Corp(up 16.11%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 92.91 points up at 61443.17, while the 50-share index, NSE was 36.15 points up at 18304.55.
In the Nifty50 index, 35 stocks traded in the green, while 15 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Transport Corp, Jenburkt Pharma, Triveni Turbine, Goldiam Intnl and Aptech hit their fresh 52-week high, while Nexus Commoditie, ANS Industries, SREI Infra Fin, Arman Holdings and Advance Lifestyles Ltd. touched their new 52-week low during the session.
