Torrent Power(up 5.97%), K.P.I. Global Infras(up 5.47%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 2.63%), Orient Green Power Company(up 2.20%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 0.97%), Jyoti Structures(up 0.82%) and NHPC(up 0.47%) were among the top gainers.
Indowind Energy(down 4.82%), Reliance Power(down 4.82%), KEC International(down 3.69%), Adani Transmissions(down 3.64%), ADANIGREEN(down 3.49%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 3.26%), Adani Power(down 2.57%), RTNPOWER(down 2.56%), NTL(down 2.50%) and Karma Energy(down 2.44%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 135.1 points down at 18075.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 408.54 points at 60734.79 at around 10:35AM.
IndusInd Bank(up 5.33%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.84%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.69%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.52%), Shree Cement(up 0.74%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.66%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.51%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.33%), Asian Paints(up 0.3%) and Hero MotoCorp(up 0.22%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 6.55%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 3.7%), ITC(down 3.4%), Coal India(down 3.11%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.35%), Titan Company Ltd(down 2.12%), Tata Steel(down 2.1%), ICICI Bank(down 2.01%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.99%) and State Bank of India(down 1.88%) were trading in the red.
