RBLBANK(up 2.95 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank(up 2.71 per cent), Federal Bank(up 1.58 per cent) and IDFCBANK(up 0.89 per cent) were among the top gainers.
IndusInd Bank(down 0.98 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.58 per cent), State Bank of India(down 0.52 per cent), ICICI Bank(down 0.46 per cent) and Bandhan Bank(down 0.42 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.26 per cent at 39659.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 27.1 points at 17902.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 112.21 points at 60026.25.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
