Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.59 per cent at 11638.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 45.85 points at 17870.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 169.02 points at 59898.6.
