On the other hand, Phoenix Mills(down 0.42 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 0.04 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.65 per cent up at 544.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 229.15 points at 18102.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 767.0 points at 60686.69.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 ended in the green, while 8 closed in the red.
