NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Bombay Oxygen Invest(20.0%), Agrimony Comdts.(20.0%), Bigbloc Const(19.99%), KLRF Ltd(19.83%), Ishaan Infrastru(16.55%), Shree Rama News(16.18%) and Asahi Ind Glass(15.67%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 767.0 points up at 60686.69, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 229.15 points up at 18102.75.
In the Nifty50 index, 42 stocks closed in the green, while 8 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Bigbloc Const, Asahi Ind Glass, Megastar Foods, Sheela Foam and S P Apparels hit their fresh 52-week high, while Tiaan Ayurvedic & He, Focus Business Solution Ltd., Triveni Enterprises, ERP Soft Sys and Nutech Global touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
