NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
White Organic Agro (up 20.0%), Megastar Foods(up 19.94%), Bigbloc Const(up 19.93%), H S India(up 17.99%), Tamboli Capital(up 17.3%) and Unique Organics(up 15.93%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 175.85 points down at 60542.86, while the 50-share index, NSE was 44.15 points down at 18065.3.
In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks traded in the green, while 27 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Megastar Foods, Bigbloc Const, Tamboli Capital, PB Fintech Ltd. and TV Today Network hit their fresh 52-week high, while Naapbooks Ltd., Narayani Steels, ERP Soft Sys, Vikas WSP and Sun Retail touched their new 52-week low during the session.
