AU Small Finance Bank(down 3.0 per cent), IndusInd Bank(down 1.97 per cent), Federal Bank(down 1.96 per cent), RBLBANK(down 1.93 per cent) and IDFCBANK(down 1.72 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.66 per cent at 37790.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 160.25 points at 17738.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 485.59 points at 59522.74.
