NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red on Thursday amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Kabra Extrusion(11.74%), Oriental Trimex(11.53%), Variman Global Enter(10.49%), Seacoast Shipping(10.0%) and Ambition Mica(10.0%).
The 30-share Sensex traded 377.63 points down at 59630.7, while the 50-share Nifty index fell 129.25 points to 17769.4.
In the Nifty 50 index, 8 stocks traded in the green, while 41 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as H S India, Kabra Extrusion, Vishal Bearings Ltd., Sapphire Foods India Ltd. and Shine Fashions hit their fresh 52-week high, while One97 Communications Ltd., Atreya Petro, Fino Payments Bank Ltd., Macro Exports and Sun Retail touched their new 52-week low in trade.
