NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red on Monday amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Rasi Electrodes(14.51%), SBC Exports(12.43%), Promax Power Ltd.(12.31%), Tarini International(11.74%), Ashirwad Steels(10.99%), Sudal Inds(10.0%) and Octavius Plantations(10.0%).
The 30-share Sensex traded 672.35 points down at 58963.66, while the 50-share Nifty index fell 192.55 points to 17572.25.
In the Nifty 50 index, 12 stocks traded in the green, while 38 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Starline Precious, Dhunseri Invst, SBC Exports, Promax Power Ltd. and Vishal Bearings Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Fino Payments Bank Ltd., One97 Communications Ltd., SBL Infratech Ltd., GCM Comm and Aayush Food & Herbs touched their new 52-week low in trade.
