Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 68.35 points to 17571.7 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Vikas Proppant & Gr, Nidan Laboratories And Healthcare Ltd., Destiny Logistics & Infra Ltd., Supreme Infra and Spandana Sphoorty, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 35 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 15 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ports SEZ, ONGC, Coal India Ltd, ICICI Bank and Indian Oil Corp. were among top gainers, while Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Divis Labs, Grasim Inds. and Infosys traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 203.99 points up at 58868.32 at 11:21AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Shipping, Sugar, Cables, Electric/Electronics and Textiles sectors, while selling was visible in Miscellaneous, Tourism & Hospitality, Learning & Education, Services and Airlines sectors.
