Shares of Info Edge (India) (down 8.36 per cent), Indian Hotels Company (down 3.68 per cent), Page Industries (down 3.03 per cent), Zee Entertainment (down 2.81 per cent) and Voltas (down 2.78 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While
(up 15.31 per cent), Adani Transmissions (up 8.93 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (up 7.73 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (up 5.07 per cent) and Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (up 4.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.02 per cent down at 20184.92 around 02:17PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 35.70 points at 15279.0, while the BSE Sensex was down 170.78 points at 51983.35.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
